Puerto Morelos is the Riviera Maya’s best kept secret. So much so, that I feel bad even writing about it. Puerto Morelos has somehow been fairly untouched by tourism compared to its' neighbors Cancun and Playa del Carmen. In Puerto Morelos, or "Pomo" as local expats call it, you can still find charming Mexican architecture, pristine and uncrowded beaches and a handful of unique and delicious restaurants. Puerto Morelos has small hotels and beach side condos or even homes for rent. There are several large all-inclusive resorts in the nearby area allowing your wedding location choices to expand. Puerto Morelos is known for it's wildlife, snorkeling and diving as there is a protected coral reef right off the beach!
