You’ve come to the right place. People like us; we love the contrast of cozy familiarity and the thrill of something new. We see the beauty in the little moments. We have a crush on nature, admire the exotic, love a good joke & a fancy cocktail, and we can't pass up giving a dog a nice scratch behind the ears. Our friends may call us perfectionists, but we just know what we like.
Our work has been inspired by witnessing the beauty of over 750 weddings in the span of 10 years that we've been so honored to be a part of. When our couples decide on a destination wedding, they are surrounded by their nearest and dearest which drives us to make sure each laugh and each embrace are captured with empathy. Weddings are monumental occasions that we take care and pride to be a part of.
Our photography journey began in 2009 after we both left our corporate careers. We picked up (the same) camera and we were instantly smitten. We've shared our love story together for 21 years, and a camera was the perfect way to join our love for each other and for what we do.
Throughout our journey we've traveled all over the world for weddings, been published in several wedding blogs and magazines, from Style Me Pretty to Modern Luxury Wedding Magazine. We've been awarded the coveted WPPI award for our underwater photography, shot weddings of culture and tradition, been honored with an ambassadorship with photography brand Black Rapid, and more recently offered consulting services to a major US company starting a photography branch. We've written articles on photography education for schools and this year…. we are excited to announce the travel booking side to our business, where we can help our clients find their most perfect wedding venue in Mexico with our years of expertise having seen and experienced them all.
About Misti …
As a former interior designer, Misti uses her education in color and composition and translates that knowledge into her images. With her love of clean lines, soft light and true colors, Misti strives to incorporate bright, dreamy-looking images with authenticity. Her biggest goal is to help aide in a fun, relaxed wedding day for her clients while capturing the true day as it unfolds.
In her spare time, Misti enjoys too much tea, chilling with her 16 year old cat son Marley, buying plants (and trying to not kill them), listening to fascinating podcasts, humming to bolero music, writing quirky instagram captions, yoga, exploring the world with the love of her life and most importantly, dreaming up the next big idea (and convincing Colin to go along with it).
About Colin . . .
At a young age, Colin decided that he was going to break-free of the status-quo, and forge the awesome lifestyle he always dreamed of. He's always explored the fusion of art and science and feels he was destined to become a photographer. His contagious creativity always manages to reveal the ‘realness’ of his subjects. His fearless approach repeatedly results in special "Wow!" photos- which he's overly proud of.
When he's not shooting or editing he will be writing guitar solos, carving on his skateboard or trying to make his bros laugh. If you want to find him, look for him in his swimming pool or at the local Mezcaleria. He's been passionately in love with Misti since he was 14. His dream is to one day buy everybody in the world a pony.
